Training contracts
London, Bristol, Aberdeen and Edinburgh
London - £37,500
Bristol - £32,000
Aberdeen and Edinburgh - £22,500
Start date: February and August 2015.
Two years. Four seats. Lots of responsibility on high-profile projects and dedicated support at every turn. Plus the chance to work alongside and learn from senior partners. That’s what you can expect from us.
Before each seat rotation, we’ll discuss your preferences with you and do our best to accommodate them. As well as a seat in one of our banking or corporate groups, you’re guaranteed a seat outside your ‘home’ office, either on secondment to a client or to one of our regional or international offices.
You might be seconded to one of our top clients based in London or Europe, or spend time in our Rio de Janeiro, Prague or Moscow offices. In every one of your seats you’ll have the guidance of a supervisor – someone who’ll take a close interest in your development and help you plan your career. Our trainees consistently tell us that this is the best part of training with us – they have the right mix of responsibility and challenging work to develop their skills, but never feel unsupported or out of their depth.
That support comes not only from your practice groups. You’ll also have regular contact with our graduate recruitment team plus support from your Trainee Representative Committee (known as TREPS and made up of elected trainees from all intakes and locations). The TREPS meetings act as a
forum for suggestions to improve our processes and programmes and tackle any concerns. It all helps to make sure your trainee experience is a good one.
We see it as our job to create the best possible learning environment for all our trainees – we recruit to retain, so our trainees are the future of the firm.
To find success with us, you’ll be a high-achieving team player and strong communicator who thrives on a challenge. We welcome both non-law and law graduates who can contribute fresh thinking, an international outlook and formidable problem-solving skills. The work we do is intellectually demanding and professionally stretching – giving you an excellent grounding and a head start to your career in law.
Our vacation schemes are open to applicants who have 320 UCAS points (or equivalent) and who have (or are expecting) a 2:1 degree in any discipline.
