Our goal is to help you match your unique needs and expectations with those of the practice area groups. Training consists of four six-month seats in the Corporate, Real Estate, Litigation, Finance, Commercial or IP groups. You will be assigned a mentor, usually a partner, to assist and advise you throughout your training contract.
In-house lectures supplement your general training, three-monthly appraisals assess development and regular social events with other trainees encourage stronger, lasting relationships.
Future trainees have the support of the firm both personally and financially throughout the GDL and the LPC. We also provide a maintenance grant.
We also accept trainees at our Thames Valley Office (TVO) in Reading. TVO has attracted some of the world's leading technology, telecoms and e-commerce companies in recent years, and we have built up an enviable reputation for our work spanning employment, real estate, finance and IT/IP advice locally, supported by the full range of services available from the London office.
While applicants to TVO will ideally show a real commitment to the region and be expected to qualify into that office, trainees can look forward to the same training, mentoring and social events as trainees in London and are considered part of the same intake.

Who should apply
Being a trainee at Olswang is both demanding and rewarding. The firm is interested in hearing from individuals who have achieved, or are on course for, a 2.1 degree or above, and possess exceptional drive and relevant commercial experience.
