Experienced Paralegal for Maternity Cover Role at Global Investment Manager, Central London

Our client, one of the world's largest independent investment management firms, is looking for an experienced paralegal/legal professional to join their highly regarded legal team.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the legal team to assist with day-to-day asset management work: the set-up, distribution and maintenance of a range of funds for a variety of institutional clients. There is the opportunity to get involved with some derivatives work, particularly as some of their clients are wanting to invest in more complex products.

We are ideally looking for a candidate with:

• Knowledge of fund documentation: distribution and investment management agreements;
• An appreciation of the regulations affecting the asset management arena;
• Experience negotiating/amending derivatives documentation (ISDA) is a bonus but not a pre-requisite.

You may be:

• A paralegal/legal professional from the asset management or other financial services sector;
• A candidate with a law degree (our client is open to the jurisdiction);

Our client is a very prestigious and reputable asset manager, and much of the work you will engage with will be client-facing. Therefore, it is essential that you possess excellent communication skills and can foster long-lasting relationships with both the legal and business teams across all levels of the organisation.

You will be supporting a high-calibre and experienced senior legal team of four lawyers who support all facets of the business, and are not pigeon-holed into defined areas. Consequently, you must be the type of candidate that prefers a varied role and can pick up new concepts quickly.
