In House Legal Counsel – Funds lawyer – 5+ PQE Investment Management Firm - London

Our client is a London based investment firm. They seek an In-House Legal Counsel to join their challenging and fast-paced Legal and Compliance team to work closely with the General Counsel and front office team. You will be involved in strategic product development, fund strategy and establishment, fund maintenance, special projects, regulatory , contractual and other legal matters.

Candidates will have at least 5 years’ experience in hedge funds and/or regulated funds and compliance. Ideally you will have had in-house experience at a top tier UK or US alternative asset management. You will be familiar with all aspects of private offerings, including Reg D, fund structures including Cayman Master Feeder and Irish QIAIF, consideration and proposal of optimal fund and organisational structures and a good knowledge of UK and foreign regulatory filings (e.g., AIFMD filings, Form ADV, CFTC notices).

Candidates will benefit from a strong understanding of how fund strategy and structure is/will be affected by regulatory considerations, such as FCA regulations, SEC or state investment adviser regulation, CFTC regulation, tax issues, ERISA issues and offshore regulation.
Highly competitive annual compensation is offered together with a discretionary bonus.
