This leading UK an international law firm have an excellent new opportunity for a further Associate to join their thriving, top-level Cyber practice in London. The firm have one of the leading and most established TMT practices in the UK, and their dedicated Cyber practice is a key part of their top-ranked Dispute Resolution team. The group is consistently praised by market analysts for its strengths in this area and has been involved in some of the most significant cases of recent years. The majority of their work is incident response related, with much involving contentious data privacy (e.g. liaising with the ICO on investigations), but also involves dealing with broader incidents (e.g. financial fraud through cyber attack, or security incidents affecting national infrastructure providers). Some of their work is also non-contentious, such as advising on before-the-event cyber risk management, policies and procedures, as well as cyber security asects of major corporate and projects transactions. Applicants should have high-level experience of data privacy law (ideally with more experience on contentious side, i.e. investigations, liaising with the ICO and dealing with data breaches). Broader knowledge of areas such as denial of service, operational security incidents, financial fraud and non-contentious matters (before the event risk management etc.) would also be valued.
