One of Sheffield's award winning law firms are looking for a skilled individual to join as a Contentious Probate Solicitor. An approachable manner and friendly personality is important for this role, as you will be joining a close-knit, supportive team with a genuinely lovely working environment. You will be picking up a busy and varied caseload so it's important that you have the confidence to take a lead on cases, although there will also be support when needed. The work will be disputed wills, contested trusts and administration issues and will have plenty of opportunity for client contact. The work comes in as a consequence of the excellent relationships with a vast array of referrers including, banks, accounts, wealth advisors, charities and other law firms, meaning the quality of work on offer is incredibly high. Business development will play a part in this role and you can get involved in marketing and networking events, generally people enjoy marketing within this area of law and with this practice receiving a lot of referrals from other law firms who don't have the ability to deal with this work there if plenty of opportunity for peer to peer networking. Whilst experience in developing business would be beneficial, our client focuses on personality and potential, making this a perfect fit for an outgoing and proactive individual who is enthusiastic about developing new skills.

The law firm are open minded about the exact level of PQE that they recruit at providing that from a practical perspective you are able to largely pick up a caseload and provide enough support to the team, it is envisaged that candidates who have around 2-7 years PQE in contentious probate matters are likely to have the right level of knowledge and experience but it's the experience instead of the PQE that is critical.
