Job Details
The public M&A practice at this leading US firm has experienced substantial growth over the last year, both in the number of deals they have been instructed on and the growth in the size of the team. They now have an urgent need for a PSL to help develop the knowledge strategy for the group. They will be looking to you to shape and influence policy and implement projects to meet the group's knowledge needs, with particular focus on Public M&A and corporate finance and supporting the group's public company practice and global public company initiative.
You will be responsible for monitoring developments in the legal and business environment, particularly in those work areas, in order to keep both the group and its clients up to date and identify areas to develop the Firm's reputation and practice; provide legal and practical expertise to support the group's practice, both through responding to fee earner queries and through the mentoring of junior lawyers on client matters; help to create, develop and manage the group's collection of forms, precedents and research materials; organise, design and deliver group training; work with group members and the marketing department to identify opportunities to develop business from new and existing clients; and provide other support as needed.
You will have gained a minimum of seven years’ PQE Corporate M&A experience, working for a major City law firm or financial institution, including strong experience and market knowledge of public M&A and corporate finance and some experience of ECM.
