The business designers, manufacturers and marketers of automotive products and system solutions, braking and advanced suspension products and systems for the original equipment market and the aftermarket.on a global basis.
The Role:
Our client is seeking an attorney for a Corporate Legal Counsel position within the legal department at its Hamburg, German office. This position will provide broad interaction with all members of the legal department as well as the companys management and operational teams across the globe.
- Counseling operational units of the company in the region Europe, India, and South Africa on a variety of commercial, employment and litigation matters. This position will work closely with management and commercial leadership, as well as finance, sales, human resources, plant staff, and other personnel, across the European region. He/she will also work with foreign colleagues to support complex legal matters, including cross-border transactions, around the globe.
- Working under the supervision of the Chief Legal Counsel EMEA on the ground management of all legal operations in the region, including implementation of legal operations and expense reduction initiatives.
- Presentation of employee trainings for relevant legal matters.
Coordination, direction and management of an extensive network of external law firms
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Requirements:
Fluency in English and German is essential. Law degree from an accredited university, experience in an in-house corporate legal position and/or as a corporate associate at a leading international law firm. Experience in a variety of legal matters concerning the management of a manufacturing and R&D based company. Good overview of general commercial law and negotiated and drafted commercial agreements such as service, supply purchasing, logistic contracts and other similar agreements.
