Your new role
This trade mark attorney role will involve: managing international trade mark portfolios, filing and prosecuting trade marks on a worldwide basis, gathering and presenting witness statement evidence, drafting legal submissions for UKIPO or EUIPO proceedings and handling UKIPO hearings, advising on assignment or recordal projects and implementing them, conducting and advising on trade mark availability searches, advising clients on registrability of trademarks and recommending cost-effective registration strategies, instructing and managing the work of foreign attorneys, reviewing trade mark and EUIPO watch notices to consider possible oppositions, reviewing and advising on impact of in-use reports and liaising with investigators as well as handling the negotiation of co-existence and assignment agreements with third parties.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a trade mark attorney who is able to run your own caseload and to liaise closely with clients. You should have experience of handling cases at the UKIPO and EUIPO. Preferably you will be ITMA qualified.
