Construction Litigation Associate/Senior Associate - London

Our client is a major US-headquartered global law firm. Their lawyers represent some of the world's leading companies in complex litigation and high stakes disputes, and are highly rated for their legal expertise, based on global client relationships and local market understanding.

Due to continued growth due to client demand, they are expanding their construction litigation department which sits within their sector-focused service group.

The team acts on both local and global construction and engineering disputes, representing owners and contractors on a variety of complex, high value projects around the world, including airports, road projects, gas and coal fired power stations, LNG projects, nuclear power plants and offshore and shipbuilding projects. In addition to providing advice on disputes, the team offers strategic project advice.

This is a tremendous opportunity to establish your career within a leading law firm. In order to be considered you will have:

• Excellent academics (ideally at least AAB grades at A-level or equivalent and a good 2:1 or better at a top tier university);
• Trained and have 4-6 years' post-qualification experience in dealing with complex construction, projects and engineering disputes, ideally gained at a well-regarded City or international law firm;
• A keen interest and sound understanding of the practical and technical elements of contentious construction law; and
• Enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Additional language skills are desirable, but not essential. This is a specialist contentious role in one of the best dispute resolution teams in the City. For solicitors with appropriate equivalent common-law experience based abroad, a sponsorship and relocation package may also be available.
