A leading business providing bespoke support to a range of clients across major sectors is seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel to support the business as a result of its sustained organic growth.

The business, based in Luton, is looking for a commercial lawyer with 3 - 7 PQE and a track record of providing both legal and commercial advice to key internal stakeholders.

The Role

The Legal Counsel role is very much a general commercial position with a commercial contracts focus. The business is enjoying a period of sustained organic growth and is also looking to make key acquisitions, so any M&A experience would be highly valued but not critical.

As Legal Counsel there will also be opportunities to pick up some Employment, Litigation and Personal Injury work to manage with the assistance of external counsel.

Owing to the growth of the business it is highly likely that the legal function will continue to grow further, giving the successful applicant the opportunity for management and to put their own stamp on the future of the legal set up.

The Person

You will be an experienced commercial lawyer with a track record of providing commercial and corporate advice to businesses. Evidence of providing education and training to non-legal staff would be beneficial.

The business is extremely open to flexible working for the right lawyer and will consider applications from suitable commercial lawyers looking for part-time, working from home or even full remote working.

Salary is highly competitive given the flexibility on offer.
