Job Details
This US Firm in London is more affable than most. Staffed with UK qualified Partners, plenty of autonomy as a high-performing member of the network and pragmatic and sensible about fit and on-boarding new laterals.
On the back of another successful year with increasing revenue and profits, the Firm is now seeking an ambitious corporate partner to complement the work of, amongst other things, a growing FS and Finance practice here and a strong PE practice in the US. The ideal candidate will be a generalist corporate lawyer but with some PE experience and contacts with funds and sponsors. You will need a portable practice and a track record of delivering business but this client has shown itself to be realistic about the level of following. Mid to Upper-mid market clients/deals would be easily absorbed into the Firm’s offering.
The London office is an essential and self-sustaining part of the network. Its recruitment philosophy is to Hire and support relevant, energetic and business-minded partners and allow them the autonomy, opportunity and resource to take their practices to the next level.
Compensation is good, transparent and fairly determined, and there is no cap on what can be achieved – but a significant component of any compensation discussion will be around collegiality, client synergies and good citizenship. The Firm is well and conservatively managed; with no debt, a growing reputation here, transactional activity across UK and Europe and with an admired brand in the US.
