A niche investment manager is seeking to hire an experienced Legal & Compliance Officer/ Funds Paralegal to join their expanding team.
This opportunity is an extremely varied role and the remit will involve taking primary responsibility within the company for all legal & compliance matters. You will report and be supported by senior directors and external counsel, but will be expected to work independently and take initiative as much as possible. The responsibilities will include, drafting and reviewing legal investment documentation, subscription of new investors and liaising with external firms and stakeholders. You will also be expected to take on general compliance monitoring responsibilities.
The client is particularly interested to hear from candidates with paralegal experience working within a leading investment practice at a top-tier law firm, or having gained experience as a paralegal in another investment manager. Candidates will ideally have compliance/regulatory experience (including AiFMD & FATCA), though this is not essential. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with shareholders as well as internal and external directors credibly. You will have excellent organisation skills and be able to work autonomously with little supervision.
This opportunity will allow an ambitious and experienced investment funds paralegal to gain significant experience within an exciting, niche investment fund
