This major international law firm is looking to recruit a Professional Development Lawyer to join their Disputes team and focus on contentious financial and regulatory work.
The contentious financial and regulatory team acts for a variety of banks, investment banks and other financial institutions and is an increasingly important and growing part of the firm. To date, the team has been supported by the Disputes PDL in London. However, as the team and its demands have increased, it requires a dedicated PDL.
As a PD Lawyer, you will be responsible for: helping the team keep on top of internal and external developments; responding to fee-earner queries; organising and where appropriate delivering internal training; and working with BD in relation to the production of client-facing know how and profile-raising. Generally, the team does not rely on standard documents or precedents, but wants to develop a method for archiving research and advice and commonly used documents that can be shared globally. It will be your responsibility to create and maintain a global knowhow and business development platform for the groups and ensure that all of the knowhow is shared within the groups.
Applicants must have significant banking litigation and regulatory experience. Regulatory investigations experience is preferred but not essential. Enthusiasm and a high level of interest will be key - this is a role where you will be able to develop around your own skills and attributes.
The firm are happy to consider candidates who would like to work 4 days a week or one day a week from home, but the ideal would be someone to work full time. The role does not require geographic mobility and candidates do not necessarily need to have worked as a PDL in previous roles.
