Our clients global projects and infrastructure team has extensive experience advising on large-scale, long-term projects, offering innovative financing and bespoke contractual structures. They now seek Junior to mid-level UK, Australian or New Zealand qualified associate to join their team in Singapore to work on a variety of infrastructure and energy projects in the Asian region for high profile clients.
They advise sponsors, banks, government and other public bodies, and financial institutions on all aspects of projects around the world in sectors as diverse as oil and gas, power, nuclear, renewables, water and waste, rail, airports, ports and roads, including PPP/PFI.
To be considered, you will have a minimum of 1 year PQE (UK) / 2 years (Aus/NZ) PQE and have demonstrated at least 6 months of front end construction or project delivery experience within a recognised global practice. The ability to draft and negotiate contracts is essential as is strong verbal and written communication skills.
The successful applicants will become part of a multidisciplinary group of dedicated and experienced legal advisors drawn from the firms various specialist practice groups, offering the its clients a one-stop legal service for all facets of major projects, including:
- project structuring
- project delivery
- risk analysis and management
- preparation of project documentation and contract negotiation
- transaction and project due diligence
- planning, environment and title acquisition advice
- project financing
- equity investment
- tax structuring
- acquisition and disposal of project interests, and
- dispute resolution and litigation advice when required.
With a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to different working styles, you will be a collaborative thinker & team player with an ability to develop relationships internally and externally. The position will also require regular travel.
