The company
Our client is a fast growing global life sciences and medical devices company headquartered in the US. Employing 8,000 staff through the globe, our client enjoys a current turnover in excess of $2bn. Our client now seeks an in-house attorney to fill a newly created role supporting its global sales organization and international compliance in its Eastern European locations.
The position
This position will report directly to the Global Lead Commercial Counsel. Job duties include the development of new forms, guidelines and policies for use in the selling progress, engagement in due diligence and policies around the use of third parties in the sales channel, contract drafting and negotiation, contract management and development of policies and training pertaining to local anti-competition laws, export import and other local regulations and laws relating to our local business in Eastern Europe including Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
The candidate
- At least 10 years of experience in a law firm and a corporation
- Previous in-house experience in a health care or medical device company and demonstrated understanding of the Company's business
- Experience in global selling and channel management
- Compliance background
- Experience in competition laws
- Manufacturing and supply chain experience a plus
- Ability to speak and write in French a plus
- Must have strong communication and negotiation skills and work well with clients and colleagues
- Location is TBD but prefer Russia
- 50% travel required
