Leveraging over 30 years of online expertise, LexisNexis offers one of the best opportunities to contribute to building tomorrow's information services, spanning across multiple media: internet, CD, books and journals. * The Legislation team supplies up-to-date statutory data to a growing number of LexisNexisButterworths publications.* The team also publish Halsbury's Statutes and Halsbury's Statutory Instruments and Butterworths Statutory Handbooks - around 60 hard copy and online products a year, to the highest standards of editorial excellence.* New and consolidated material is fed directly into the Legislation sources on the LexisNexis global online platform and the Legislation team is responsible for updating these.* Our internal editorial applications that feed the Legislation sources contain over 40,000 enactments updated daily, with an average of 1800 enactments processed annually.* The department also processes third party materials such as the HMRC Manuals, FCA & PRA Handbooks and other official publications from external sources, which are reproduced within our own products.* The work is topical, rewarding and also offers the opportunity to be involved in a variety of business-critical projects.* The Legislation team provides intensive one to one training and ongoing development opportunities which are both specific to this role and relevant to legal publishing generally. Aspects of the role include:* daily processing of new legislation published by The Stationery Office for online and print publications* coordination of work stages from conversion of xml to allocation of work and QA administration and liaising between editorial team and offshore suppliers* converting, tidying and loading of new enactments* basic annotation of new enactments including pending amendments for Halsbury's Statutes Noter-up, Is it in Force, Halsbury's Statutes Citator and Stop Press* legislation updates for the online global platform and other LN publications* Checking and correcting typeset proofs across the full range of our publications* supplying historical versions of consolidated legislation to customers and responding to other queries* gathering competitive intelligence* data capture of Explanatory Notes and 3rd party material* support maintenance of publications database
