About Eversheds
Recognised by The Lawyer magazine as part of the “Litigation Elite”, Eversheds’ team of experts acts for major clients throughout the world. Our people regularly deal with large-scale matters involving multiple jurisdictions for multi-nationals through our award winning and ground-breaking approach to project management. We are lawyers who think strategically as well as legally, and provide our dispute managers with the resources they need to use their skills to the fullest.
Our highly successful real estate litigation team advises on all property related disputes and portfolio management issues. Lawyers work on major matters for large organisations. Amongst their clients are Network Rail, Legal & General, Microsoft and BskyB. The team also boasts specialist expertise in property related judicial review, telecoms and Equality Act issues. In all cases they are supported by the resources of an international firm and an award winning project management system that allows them to deliver better results for clients.
We are looking for a NQ Associate to provide support to the Real Estate Litigation Team. You will assist Partners and Associates in acting on a wide range of matters.
You will form an integral part of an energetic team of specialist Real Estate litigators who, on a national level, combine to field a team of 60+ lawyers specialising in this challenging and rewarding area of law. Whilst a supportive and structured approach will be given to supervision, knowledge management and personal development, all team members possess a ‘can do’ approach. You will be expected to take on a client facing role from the outset; whether assisting on large complex cases for top 100 FTSE clients or running your own busy caseload for smaller yet equally demanding businesses.
Key responsibilities:
The role involves working on a broad range of property related problems for occupiers, investors and developers. Upon joining, you will be involved in all aspects of contentious property issues. You will also be involved in client management, business development issues, marketing and selling.
Skills and experience:
You should have strong technical skills, enjoy black letter law and must also have good team, communication and organisational skills. You will be able to provide a first rate client service both internally and externally.
Key competencies:
A commitment of delivering quality service is essential, as is the ability to juggle the demands of a heavy workload.
We're a modern, progressive law firm. We think differently and we've built a culture where individual skills and personalities can shine through. At Eversheds, we believe that innovation comes from a culture of genuine equality and diversity and we are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments individuals may require in the recruitment process, or once in post.
