Barclay Simpson are hiring on behalf of a well-known retail and commercial bank for an experienced employment lawyer. This role will provide core business support and advice for corporate advisory employment, HR, corporate governance and regulatory matters. This will include M&A, executive and NED appointments, Senior Managers Regime, Remuneration Code, modern slavery, whistleblowing and pensions.
The role holder will deliver legally robust and compliant documentation to support corporate governance arrangements aligned to regulatory developments and best practice. In addition they will provide legal advice to the Group’s senior management on ad hoc projects of significance to the Bank.
The role requires a skilled professional with relevant experience and technical excellence including specific employment law experience and financial services law coupled with knowledge of the legislative change agenda impacting the banking industry. In addition, the role requires the relevant individual to be capable of working closely with and influencing senior management and have the gravitas and confidence to present at Board Committees.
To be considered for this role you will require a solid background in employment law in addition to 8 years PQE.
