This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to join a well-established group legal team.
Reporting to the Head of Legal you will be responsible for:
- Providing legal support to Secretariat and other Head Office Functions (e.g. HR, Reward and Finance) on employment law, corporate governance legal issues and regulatory developments e.g. Senior Managers Regime, the Remuneration Code, bonus scheme rules, Code Staff communications
- Providing assurance and advice on remuneration reporting e.g. RemCo Chair's Statement, remuneration policy for ARA, approval of annual remuneration policy statement
- Providing expert legal advice on the Senior Manager & Certification Regime: advising on the regulations, input into key documentation including Statements of Responsibility, engagement with the SMR population, advising on D&O, advising on Conduct Rules obligations, communications and training
- Tracking, advising on and supporting the preparation for regulatory changes and financial services developments and how they impact the Bank's senior management
Ideally you will be a qualified lawyer with at least 7 years' PQE gained in employment law from a leading law firm or in-house organisation. You will also be a commercially minded individual with the ability to develop and maintain string relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
