Description:
An exciting and challenging role has arisen at Aggregate Industries, a major company in the construction industry and part of the global LafargeHolcim Group (global turnover in excess of CHF 40 billion with active operations in more than 65 countries), which is looking to expand its Legal & Compliance team with the addition of a trainee solicitor.
The company operates within the UK and North European markets and is a leader in sustainable construction, investment in environmental conservation and innovation in the industry. Aggregate Industries’ extensive portfolio of recent projects includes the 2012 London Olympics infrastructure, the Shard, St Pancras International station and Heathrow Terminals 2 & 5.
The successful candidate will work closely with the members of the Legal & Compliance team and will complete at least three of the following training seats:
- Business and Commercial Contracts
- Civil Litigation
- Commercial Property, Planning and Estates
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Competition & Regulation
The ideal candidate will have successfully completed their LPC course and will have had experience working as part of a team in an office environment. Aggregate Industries is looking for a candidate who will demonstrate the following:
- Good communication skills.
- Good academic background in law.
- Desire to learn about and adapt to the commercial teams within AI.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
It is also important that the successful candidate be prepared to travel occasionally to a number of locations nationally and internationally to take part in meetings, corporate events etc. as required.
