About this Role:
Reporting to the Head of International Marketing, as Marketing Manager – EIL, your primary role will be to facilitate communication, opportunities, joint projects and the sharing of knowledge and best practice across our international offices, with a strong focus on the EIL/ European offices.
Key responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities are:
· Assist the marketing team in identifying and effecting introductions to the right people across our international offices in order to progress integrated selling opportunities, including working with marketers in relevant locations to co-ordinate any marketing support required on the ground.
· Lead and maintain on the KAM/Sector integration initiative across EIL in identifying and progressing both local clients and existing KAM clients in close collaboration with the sector groups to develop those clients locally and across Europe.
· Assist the LLP product marketers and Client Communications Executives in liaising with EIL lawyers and marketers with regard to the ongoing initiative to drive quality and consistency in how each country individually and collectively presents and promotes services, products and sector specialisms to clients, both on and off-line, with due respect to local market expectations.
· Working with the Corporate Communications team and LLP Product marketers, you will support the roll-out of international thought leadership campaigns, liaising with marketing team members in relevant locations to ensure maximum impact in each jurisdiction and the effective follow up of any new business leads generated.
· Ensure that each country contributes timely and useful content to the experience database and keeps their capability matrices up-to-date.
· Provide marketing consultancy, advice on activity, budget management and reporting to the lead partner of the Latin America Business group.
· Lead the marketing strategy and activity for the Nordic/ Baltic group ensuring the group is profiled sufficiently and BD opportunities are increased.
· Support the LLP product marketers in ensuring effective and efficient co-ordination between international offices of submissions to the Chambers and Legal 500 legal directories. Provide best practice advice to non-LLP marketers and lawyers in relation to legal directory submissions.
· Support the Head of Marketing and Head of Corporate Communications in providing guidance and advice on Eversheds’ visual identity and corporate messaging to EIL lawyers and marketers, particularly with reference to the new brand identity in providing support on their local implementation plans.
· Identify and coordinate sessions for training needs across EIL, including BD, Eversheds strategy and Marketing databases/ tools through webinars and face to face meetings, to both the EIL Marketers and the EIL Marketing sponsors.
· Liaise with relevant colleagues in the Finance team, manage and report on expenditure from the Eversheds International Limited (EIL) marketing budget to the Head of Marketing and EIL Executive/Board.
· Ensure that progress is made on all EIL Marketing objectives and provide strategic advice to the EIL Chairman when objectives and measures require refinement.
· Lead and drive forward activity for the EIL entrepreneurial fund initiatives and promote the fund across EIL in securing more ideas for its use in strengthening the Eversheds brand in Europe and creating more BD opportunities.
This role requires occasional international travel.

· Success against the annual EIL Marketing objectives
· Demonstrable contribution to success of the KAM Programme and key global PG initiatives
· Positive feedback from EIL stakeholders, predominantly Managing Partners, marketing sponsors and marketers.
· Effective EIL budget management
Skills and experience:
· You will be able to demonstrate considerable international marketing experience gained from working across multiple jurisdictions, covering a broad range of Marketing skills including brand, PR and Business Development.
· Spoken and written proficiency in multiple languages to business standard is desired.
Key competencies:
· Excellent interpersonal skills, confident and credible in dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels across the firm. You will have strong probing, consultative/listening and diplomacy skills coupled with the ability to negotiate and persuade senior legal advisors in different jurisdictions.
· You will have well developed project management skills and the ability to manage conflicting timescales and priorities. Task focused and a completer-finisher.
· A natural communicator with the ability to develop strong relationships remotely and influence at senior levels.
· Awareness of and sensitive to different cultural nuances.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
· Familiarity with the firm’s business development tools including Share/Interaction, Cap Stat Builder, Pitch Tools and the Experience Database, or equivalent.
· Ability to drive change in a partnership, providing ‘friendly challenge’ and innovative thinking.
· Creative, commercial and able to think laterally in identifying and developing opportunities.
· You will have a consistently positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach, as well as the ability being able to work well on your own initiative and as part of a wider team.
· Solution oriented. Pragmatic, robust and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.
